Swedish – Just need to relax? You choose: Soothing strokes and calming touch will send you into oblivion. The classic “fluff and buff” will leave you feeling good as new. Or just a good, all-over, deep tissue massage to smooth the body out.
Therapeutic – Trouble areas, due to injury, overuse, persisting conditions, sleeping in one position for too long, or just good old fashioned stress will be the area of focus. You choose the pressure that works for you. Spend the entire session on a specific area (or a couple of areas) or include the whole body, as time allows.
Trigger Point – Trigger points are hyper-sensitive, hyper-stimulated areas of skeletal muscle or fascia. A knot can be felt within the tissue, and will cause soreness and pain in the general area and perhaps even refer pain to other areas of the body. They are painful and best addressed by putting pointed pressure directly on the trigger point. Your massage session will focus on relieving and dissipating troublesome trigger points, and can include work on the rest of the body, as time allows.
Prenatal Massage – A must for the expecting Mom! Prenatal massage increases circulation throughout the body. It can relieve pregnancy related soreness and facilitate breathing. Massage lowers the release of stress hormones, resulting in a more relaxed state of mind which can contribute to a healthier pregnancy. Massage can be given during all stages of pregnancy. Please mention that you are pregnant when booking your massage, even if you are just in the very early stages! It is very important that your massage therapist is aware of your pregnancy.
